Step 1: Turn off your printer.

Step 2: Unplug the printer power cord from the power outlet.

Step 3: Locate the “Reset” button or switch. For some printers, the reset button is behind a small access door on the back panel.

Step 4: Hold down the “Reset” button or switch and plug the power cord back into the power outlet. Continue to hold the reset button until the printer powers on.

Step 5: Follow any instructions that appear on the screen or printer’s control panel.

Step 6: Release the reset button when the printer powers on.

Step 7: Print a test page to make sure the printer is reset.
