Canon 7520 Waste Ink Reset
1、Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
Remove the left and right top covers, then remove the screw that holds the printhead.
2、Lift up the printhead and take out the waste ink pad from the printer. The waste ink pad is usually a white pad and is easy to find in the printer.
3、Place the waste ink pad on a paper towel and blot it several times to remove the excess ink.
4、Carefully reinsert the waste ink pad in the printer and replace the printhead and the screws. Plug in the power cord and turn on the printer.
5、Access the printer’s service mode by pressing the “Menu” and “Copy” buttons simultaneously. Select the “Waste Ink Reset” option from the service mode menu. This will reset the waste ink counter and reset the number of printing cycles the printer will allow before needing to be serviced.
6、Exit the service mode and turn off the printer. Unplug the power cord and reattach the left and right top covers.
7、Plug in the power cord and turn on the printer. Run a couple of test pages to verify proper functioning of the printer. Now the Canon 7520 printer is reset and ready to use again.
